New Delhi, Sept 17: Former Delhi High Court judge Shamit Mukherjee today moved a city court seeking return of valuables and other objects seized from him by CBI during raids in the wake of the DDA scam. The seized materials include a leather purse, some cash and income tax documents, Mukherjee said in his application filed before Special Judge Prem Kumar and prayed that they be returned to him.

The court directed CBI to file reply to the application and fixed September 25 for hearing it.
Meanwhile, the court ordered release of a Toyota Qualis seized during raids on one of the key accused in the DDA scam Dharambir Khattar.

The vehicle's owner V Narang had moved an application seeking its release.

However, the CBI objected to releasing the vehicle saying it was yet to ascertain the destination of the foreign liquor and cash recovered from it. Notwithstanding the objection, the court ordered that the vehicle be returned to its owner and directed that it shall be produced before the investigating officer as and when required.

The court also laid down conditions against making any alteration in the vehicle.
