A latest sociological study in the United States shows that the level of curiosity among teenage boys vis-à-vis sex seems to be fizzling out. It says the number of teenage boys in between 15 to 17 years having sex in the past decade dropped by 8.5 per cent. Teenagers were also seen to be generally acting more cautiously when it came to sex with rates of pregnancy, abortions and sexually transmitted diseases, reports Context, a new journal published by the American Sociological Association. Sociologists Barbara Risman, North Carolina State University and Pepper Schwarz, University of Washington analysed data from the Center for Disease Control's Youth Risk Behaviour Survey of more than 10,000 high school students nationally, as well as data from a number of other sources.
