New Delhi, Nov 21: RSS today blamed Bangladesh-based terrorist outfits and Pakistan's ISI for the violence against Hindi-speaking people in Assam and accused the state government of being "incompetent" in tackling the situation. Smelling a "sinister conspiracy" behind the attacks on Hindi-speaking people, RSS spokesman Ram Madhav said, "we suspect terrorist groups like Ulfa which have base in Bangladesh, in collusion with ISI, to be behind the mindless violence in Assam."

The violence is aimed at fomenting trouble in North East and affect its economic set-up, he told a press conference here.

He alleged that anti-India activities in Bangladesh had increased after the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-led coalition assumed power there a year ago and wanted the government to talk to its Bangladeshi counterpart for curbing such activities there.
Emphasising that continued illegal infiltration of Bangladeshis into India was posing a serious threat to this country's security and sovereignty as well as eating into the vitals of the economy of north east, he said the successive central governments had failed to curb this.
