Lakhimpur Kheri, Aug 10: In a new twist to the Madhumita murder case, the mother of the dead poetess has now accused the servant of former Uttar Pradesh minister Amarmani Tripathi of being involved in the killing. Tripathi's servant Pinku, who earlier worked with Madhumita till he was "removed" about one-and-a-half years ago, "had come to the poetess' house on the day of her murder," Shanti Devi told a private news channel. "He came to take back his cap after he committed the murder, or got the murder done," she said.
"Why did he have to come to our house that same day, after so many days, even though he had been turned out?" she asked. Shanti Devi said that the family continues to receive threatening calls. Bureau Report
