New Delhi, Aug 12: India, which temporarily stopped overseas grain sales, will resume wheat exports in about a month and rice sales after the harvest of its winter crop in October, Food Corporation of India (FCI) Managing Director V K Malhotra said on Monday. "Wheat exports will begin in a month or so. Exports of rice should begin after October when the new crop comes in," he said.

Traders said FCI had earlier this month stopped fresh allocation of rice and wheat to exporters as inventories have fallen sharply and not enough rail wagons are available for inland transportation. Bureau Report
