Mumbai, Sept 09: Bajaj Auto, India's second-largest motorcycle maker, said on Monday it had signed a new wage settlement with workers at its plant in Pune which would add Rs 100 million annually to its wage bill. The settlement for the Akurdi plant is for three-and-a-half years and will also entail an ad-hoc payment of about Rs 180 million to make up for the time gap between the old and new settlements, a company statement said.
The new agreement was signed on Friday while the old one expired on November 30, 2001.
