New Delhi, Dec 13: Observing that there was no consensus in Pakistan on the issue of converting the Line of Control (LoC) into International Border, former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto tonight advocated that New Delhi and Islamabad should follow the Sino-India model on the border issue. She said this model was being pursued to improve Sino-India ties despite their differences on the Line of Actual Control.
"There is no consensus in Pakistan" on the issue of converting the LoC into the International Border, Bhutto, who attended the two-day conference on peace dividend--progress for India and South Asia organised by the Hindustan Times, told reporters here.
She saw no consensus emerging among various Kashmiri groups on this issue.
Replying to questions on whether the Kashmir issue could be addressed at a later stage after resolving other outstanding issues, she said "if we only talk about Kashmir, there will be no progress" and added at the same time that this issue could also not be put under the carpet.
Kashmir and other issues should form of the dialogue process to move ahead, she said.
