Chandigarh, Apr 13: Bollywood's latest blue-eyed boy Vivek Oberoi said today that he would love to shoot in Kashmir Valley provided the state government gave adequate security. "It's sad that when I have seen so many places around the world and in India, a visit to Kashmir still remains a dream. I will definitely like to go there and see for myself what they call paradise on earth," Oberoi told newsmen here.
Asked if Bollywood stars would be willing to go to Kashmir to shoot for their films, he said, "It depends on what kind of security is provided to us. Big names like Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Mani Ratnam have taken initiatives in the past and many more are taking initiatives now." "Let's hope that the situation in Kashmir improves and it once again becomes favourite destination for film makers," Vivek said.
On the recent controversy involving his verbal duel with actor Salman Khan, he justified his decision to speak to the media in this regard. "I don't regret what I have said. I wouldn't have said it in the first place if I had to regret it later. I think talking to the media was right, but now I think the issue has been overcooked and overdone," he said when asked if the controversy was over.
On the films he was doing, he said he had lots of projects ahead including the one with Mani Ratnam and Abbas Mastan. "I have a hectic time ahead," he added. Bureau Report
