Ahmedabad, Aug 21: Ignoring the bouts of protest in London, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said that he had been able to "fulfil" his mission to the UK and was returning to India "fully satisfied".
Describing Gujarat as a "dynamo of growth", he said that he was "very pleased" with the meetings with the large cross section of British and British-Asian businessmen, which allowed him to present the exciting potential and opportunities that the economic success of Gujarat offers, a
statement issued here said today.
On the "vibrant Gujarat global investors summit" to be held here and in Surat from September 28 to 30, the Chief Minister said that, "it would provide a useful platform for investors all over the world, especially the UK, to interface with the government and local businesses of Gujarat and see for themselves, several attractive projects for foreign investment that are on the offer."
He said that the summit would be a mix of business and pleasure, as it coincides with the 'Navratri' celebrations wherein investors will get a chance to participate in the longest dance festival in the world and enjoy the rich culture and hospitality of Gujarat.
