Despite Friday’s Test match between India and South Africa all set to be declared unofficial, India have decide not to play Virender Sehwag, whose one-match ban by match-referee Mike Denness caused a furore in the cricketing world. Indian team manager M K Bhargava on Thursday said Sehwag would not be played in the match to honour Denness decision to ban him for one Test for excessive appealing. While upholding Denness decision, the International Cricket Council said Sehwag would now have to miss India’s first Test match against England starting in Mohali on December 3. Bureau Report
