TC accuses WB Election Commissioner of issuing threat
Kolkata, Apr 12: The Trinamool Congress today accused West Bengal Election Commissioner Ajay Sinha of `threatening` party general secretary Mukul Roy for walking out of yesterday`s all-party meeting on the panchayat elections.

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee told reporters that the state election commissioner rang up the party office and 'issued the threat' to Roy.
Roy, who was also present, said that he picked up the phone hearing that Sinha was on line.

"As soon as I picked up the phone, Sinha said, “You walked out from the all-party meeting and dubbed me a CPI(M) agent. I will see how you get on in politics," the TC general secretary claimed.
Roy said that he was completely taken aback on hearing such words from the state election commissioner.
Despite several attempts Sinha could not be contacted for comment as the staff in his office refused to give him the phone.
