New Delhi, May 23: Girls once again performed better in the Class XII examinations conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education the results for which were declared today. The girls scored 80.33 as pass percentage while the boys had the pass percentage of 68.22.

The total pass percentage was put at 73.59 per cent.

Overall pass percentage of Chennai was 88.18 per cent which is the highest amongst all centres. The Pass percentage of students this year has gone down by 1.61%, according to CBSE sources. Out of the total number of students who appeared for the Secondary examination 12% students would take compartment papers.

Meanwhile board sources said that girls scored better than boys in Gulf countries also.
