Dhaka, Oct 20: Paramilitary Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) troops were fanned out to the Indo-Bangladesh border after a red alert was sounded for nabbing the terrorists fleeing the country. UNB news agency quoting an unnamed BDR commanding officer said most troops were deployed on the border to check terrorists crossing the border in the wake of anti-terrorist campaign launched by the army.
The routine training and exercise of BDR troops were cancelled for the time being to tighten the border vigil.

On Wednesday mid-night the government deployed troops across the country to catch terrorists and seize illegal weapons as the country'' law and order alarmingly deteriorated.
Nearly 1,500 people mostly belong to ruling BNP were rounded up on charge of terrorism and unauthorised weapons recovered in last three days. Bureau Report
