"Rest in peace, brother. I never knew anyone stronger, or who overcame more," Ronan captioned the side-by-side photos. In the shots, Thaddeus is seen in his younger days, wearing leg braces. In the other, the 27-year-old is seen in a wheelchair.

Thaddeus was found last week "suffering from a life-threatening injury," inside his vehicle, according to a Connecticut State Police report. A medical examiner confirmed that he committed suicide by shooting himself.

Mia, 71, adopted Thaddeus from Kolkata, India, in 1994. He was a paraplegic after contracting polio. In a statement released on Twitter following the death, Mia wrote that she and her family were "devastated" by the tragedy.

"Thaddeus was a wonderful courageous person who overcame so much hardship in his short life," the mother of 14 wrote. "We miss him. Thank you for the outpouring of condolences and words of kindness."

Farrow has 11 living children four biological and seven adopted and Thaddeus was the third adopted child the actress has lost.
