China has joined key countries in strongly condemning the December 13 terror strike on Parliament, saying it opposed any form of terrorist act. We strongly condemn the violent terrorist incident, Chinese foreign minister Tang Jiaxuan said in a letter to external affairs minister Jaswant Singh.
The Chinese government consistently opposes any form of terrorist act, he said while offering Beijing's condolences to the families of the security personnel killed in the attack.
In a letter to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Tajik President said the terrorist act has caused resentment and indignation in Tajikistan. Such criminals acts once again demonstrates the necessity of combining efforts in the struggle against any manifestation of international terrorism and extremism, he said.
Comdemning the attack, the Turkish foreign minister Ismail Cen said his country understood ravages of terrorism since it has faced it for decades.
