Jodhpur, July 04: Rajasthan High Court today deferred till July 15 hearing on a petition by the VHP leader Acharya Dharmendra challenging rejection of his anticipatory bail plea by a lower court in connection with a case against him for allegedly making a inflammatory speech at a 'Trishul Deeksha' ceremony. Deferring the hearing, judge D N Joshi further extended the stay on Acharya's arrest for his inflammatory speech at the Deeksha ceremony in Badnor town of Bhilwara district on March one this year. Additional Advocate General Rajendra Vyas sought adjournment of the case on the plea that special prosecutor J S Bajwa was unable to be present in the court today.


Police had registered a case against Acharya on March 22 in connection with his inflammatory speech in Badnor.

Acharya's anticipatory bail application was rejected by a Bhilwara court in April against which he filed an appeal in the High Court, which ordered an interim stay on his arrest.
