Vadodara, July 09: United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan has appreciated India's efforts towards socio-economic stability, Union Minister for Rural Development Kanshiram Rana said here today. Annan was speaking to Rana on the sidelines of an international conference of United Nation's Ecosoc in Geneva recently.
Rana informed Annan about India's efforts in this direction and also stressed that the global responsibility should rest on all countries developed and developing.
"The question of market access, technology transfer and adequate resource funding are areas in which a substantial role still needs to played by developed countries,” he added.
