The government on Friday reiterated its resolve to adhere to the directives of the Supreme Court to maintain the Status-Quo at the disputed site in Ayodhya. Nobody will be allowed to violate the Supreme Court orders, minister of state for parliamentary affairs O Rajagopal assured the Rajya Sabha. He was clarifying the government position in regard to the concern expressed by leader of the opposition Manmohan Singh that five central ministers had been present at Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Ashok Singhal's residence where it was resolved to start construction of a temple at the disputed site on March 12. Rajgopal said that the ministers had already denied the reports in this regard. The government was committed to maintaining the Status-Quo. Besides home minister L K Advani had already stated that no construction activity would be allowed at the site as per the court orders, he added. Bureau Report
