The eight companies have already started started arriving

The Deputy Commissioner said that no untoward incident
took place in the district.
Meanwhile, the government has ordered the transfer of
Kuddus as commandant of Assam Police Battallion in Dergaon and asked Barpeta Additional Superintendent of Police P C Sarma to take his place.
This has, however, nothing to do with the ongoing ethnic violence in the state and was a routine transfer, official sources said. Bureau Report
