New Delhi, June 05: Subhash Chandra promoted Essel Group said today it was setting up a 13-member corporate brand development group in order to centralise communication for all group companies together with 13 brands including Zee, Agrani, Playwin, Essel World and Essel Propack. Concerned over the "loose" communications system prevalent within group companies till now, Chandra has decided to set up this core group, which is expected to become operational by July this year.
"We felt the messaging system was loosely placed within the group. Familiarity about the group as a whole was missing which is why we decided to set up a corporate brand development group," vice-president of this group Ashish Kaul said here.
He claimed centralisation of communication for an entire group of companies with several well-entrenched brands was a novel concept in India and was for the first time being implemented by the Esssel Group of companies.
Kaul said the task of this group would be three-fold. It will first create awareness and familiarity about the Essel Group of companies and then about the various businesses the group is currently into.
