Digboi (Assam), Nov 13: Asgar Ali, the 43-year-old Kolkata pro, aiming to break a 10-year title jinx on the tour, was three strokes ahead of city-mate SSP Chowrasia and Gast Ram with 69 apiece.
Pappan and Zai Kipgen shared the fourth spot with a total of 2-under par 70 while five others -- Sandeep Syal, Sanjay Kumar, Suleman Ali, Vishal Singh and Yusuf Ali -- were sharing the sixth position.
In the amateur section, Anitya Chand led the field with a well-compiled one-over 73.
