New Delhi, Mar 23: Senior leaders of the BJP held a meeting today at the Prime Minister`s residence and finalised its candidates for the 36 Lok Sabha seats. The remaining 36 Lok Sabha seats will be announced in the next BJP central election committee meeting on March 27.
The party decided that currently Rajya Sabha members will not be given Lok Sabha tickets. BJP leaders Arun Jaitley, Pramod Mahajan, Sushma Swaraj and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi will not be contesting the coming Lok Sabha elections.
Announcing this after a meeting of the party`s Central Election Committee here today, party`s spokesman Mahajan said these leaders would be campaigning for the party.

Four seats for Orissa and six seats Karnataka assembly elections.

The following are the list of the important candidates along with their constituencies: Uttar Pradesh- Rajender Sharma from Rampur
Gujarat- Shubhangini Devi Gaekwad from Kheda
Rajasthan- Ram Swarup Kohli from Bayana, Dushyant Singh from Jhalawar,
Jharkhand- Babu Lal Marandi from Kodarma
Madhya Pradesh- Kailash Joshi form Bhopal, Chandrabhan Singh from Damo, Laxman Singh from Rajgarh
Bihar- Anwar-ul-Haq from Sheohar

The decision on candidates for five seats for Haryana is yet to be taken.
The list of 324 candidates has been released by BJP till now, out of which 152 are sitting MPs, 28 are women candidates, 44 SCs and 30 STs.

In today’s list of 36 candidates, there are 15 sitting MPs, three women candidates, three SCs and two STs.

The party’s fifth and last list will be released on March 27.
