Gandhinagar, June 25: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday laid emphasis on updating the internal security network in the border state. Addressing a conference of senior police officials here, Modi said "the neghbouring country (Pakistan) was indulging in internal class conflict in the country paving the way for terrorist activities and it should be taken seriously".
Calling for providing protection to lives and properties of people and taking a lesson from incidents like Godhra train carnage and communal riots, Modi stressed the need for professional acumen of police administration against the possible challenges of modern crimes.
