Lucknow, Aug 23: VHP general secretary Praveen Togadia today said the Ram temple issue can't be decided by courts as it was a matter of faith for Hindus.
"We respect the judiciary which is a pre-requisite for any democracy. But Ram temple is not only a question of temple. It is a question of the birth place and a question of faith, which can't be decided by the courts', Togadia told reporters here .
Parrying questions on the report submitted by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to the Allahabad High Court yesterday, the VHP leader said he had not seen it.
"It is up to the court to accept or reject it", he said when asked whether the VHP would accept the ASI report.
However, he claimed that their own team of archaeologists, who visited the disputed site at Ayodhya, had concluded that there was ample evidence about the existence of a temple beneath the demolished Babri mosque.

Togadia also rejected an assertion that the Ayodhya issue was a conflict between two faiths.

He said since a legislation for enactment of a law for the construction of the Ram temple has not been brought in the monsoon session of the Parliament, the only way now left was to build a mass movement. "The people of the country would now have to be ready for a mass agitation".
