Mumbai, Dec 09: UTI Mutual Fund (UTI MF) has declared 100 per cent dividends (or Rs 10 per unit on face value of Rs 10) for two of its plans, Master Equity Plan 1998 (MEP-98) and Master Equity Plan 1999 (MEP-99). The company has fixed December 10 as record date for the dividend, UTI MF said in a release here today.
"Excellent performance" is the reason for the declaration of the 100 per cent dividends, which are also tax-free to investors, it said, adding "this is the first time in the history of UTI Mutual Fund that 100 per cent dividends have been declared".
The net asset value of UTI MEP-98 and UTI MEP-99 stood at Rs 22.62 and Rs 33.84, respectively on December four, it said.
