Krishnamurthy remanded to 10 days CBI custody
New Delhi, May 24; A Delhi court today remanded Chennai-based chartered accountant a Krishnamurthy to 10 days of CBI custody in the cash-for-transfer scam in which personal assistant of former Union Minister of state for finance Gingee Ramachandran and an IRS official were arrested.

Ramachandran and an IRS official were arrested.
Krishnamurthy, who was flown from Chennai last evening
after the CBI secured his transit remand from a court there,
was produced before special judge Prem Kumar who remanded him
to 10 days of CBI custody.
In its remand application, the CBI alleged that he was the main kingpin in fixing transfers of various officials in the finance ministry.
The CBI has claimed that his detailed interrogation could lead to some more trails in the case.
Krishnamurthy was produced in a Chennai court before judge T Ramasamy, who ordered his transit remand to enable the investigating agency to produce the accused along with the seized documents before the CBI special judge Delhi on or before May 26.
Krishnamurthy was arrested on May 22 alongwith the personal assistant of Ramachandran, R Perumalswamy and an IRS officer Arurag Vardhan, who had allegedly paid bribe to get his transfer to Mumbai.
Krishnamurthy had been charged under section 120(b) IPC and Section 7,8,12, 13 (2) read with Section 13(1)(d) of the prevention of corruption act. Bureau Report
