United Nations, Aug 19: The bomb blast that ripped through the United Nations' Headquarters in Baghdad today killed one person and injured 32 others, according to a UN official in New York.
UN spokesman Farhan Haq said the toll was likely to increase.
A police officer at the scene told earlier that several people were killed in the bomb blast but did not offer any hard figures.
"I carried out several bodies," said the officer, who refused to give his name, amid a steady stream of blood-stained bodies being carried out on stretchers. Bureau Report
