Sasaram, Aug 12: A BJP leader was kidnapped on Monday by unidentified persons while he was travelling in a bus in Rohtas district of Bihar, police said. Suresh Rai, Dinara block president of BJP, was taken away at gun-point while he was travelling in a bus from Kochas to Mohania, they said. The gun-toting kidnappers forced Rai to disembark when the bus was stationed at Laheri, on way to Mohania. An FIR has been lodged with the Kocha police station in connection with the kidnapping. Raids were on in Rohtas and neighbouring Buxar district to rescue Rai, police said.

A number of abduction cases were reported in the state in recent times, including kidnapping of a bank manager.
