Venice: Although the real venue has not been announced yet, Aman Canal Grande, is touted to be 'the' venue for the high-profile wedding of dashing George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin. And it feels more like a palace than a hotel.

The original building actually dates back to the sixteenth century. Apart from the top floor, that is still retained by the Papadopoli family (the family that has owned and lived in the place for the last two centuries), a good amount of restoration work has gone in for the rest of the palace.

Interestingly, the front of the Aman Canal Palace opens directly into the Grand Canal. It wouldn't be too surprising to see the guests arrive in water taxis directly to the venue. But, it might make it difficult for the papparazzi to sneak in.

Frescos, chandeliers, gilded frames all decorate the suavely renovated Venetian palazzo. Opulence is to be expected from the grand wedding of Hollywood's most eligible bachelor.

While Clooney will break the hearts of many of his fans, it would truly be a sight for the world, with the palzzo offering the finesse and elegance in a royal feeling.

Certainly as romantic as it can get!
