Two rebels, two security personnel killed in Nepal
Kathmandu, Aug 14: Two Maoist rebels were shot dead in an encounter in Nepal, where the rebels abducted and killed two security personnel, an Army spokesman said.

dead in an encounter in Nepal, where the rebels abducted and
killed two security personnel, an Army spokesman said.
One Maoist each was killed in Khokling area of
Taplejung district and Nagma area of Kalikot district, Royal
Nepalese Army spokesman Deepak Gurung said adding a soldier
was injured in the encounter.
Two bodies of soldiers, who were kidnapped by rebels
in Nuwakot district were found, the spokesman said.
The Maoists have abducted another soldier in Dupi
Pipal village of Nuwakot district, who was on his way to the
barracks at the end of his leave.
An overseer with the district drinking water and
sanitation division has also disappeared in the district,
officials said adding the rebels hand in the abduction can't
be ruled out.
The Defence Ministry in a statement strongly denounced the killings and asked the Maoists to return the abducted soldier.
