Journalists hold dharna, march against Jayalalithaa
Chandigarh, Nov 10: Journalists of various organisations today staged a dharna and took out a march to protest Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker`s decision of ordering 15 days imprisonment for five senior scribes of `The Hindu` and the editor of Murasoli, and took out a protest March in the main commercial Centre- sector 17 here.

protest Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker's decision of ordering 15
days imprisonment for five senior scribes of 'The Hindu' and
the editor of Murasoli, and took out a protest March in the
main commercial Centre- sector 17 here.
Holding placards inscribed with "down with the
repression of the press", the journalists raised slogans
against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for her alleged
"dictatorial policies" against the fourth estate.
After holding the dharna, the scribes took out a
procession in the commercial Centre of the city.
