Jaisalmer, May 30: About 8.5 kgs of explosive was found during a repair work at the golden fort here, police said today. The explosive, believed to be stored in leather sack during Jaisalmer ruler's regime, was unearthed at Harraj-ke-Mehal at Dusshera Chowk inside the fort, they said.
The police has informed the ammunition depot of a local army unit about the recovery.

The experts would find out whether the explosive was still active or diffused in the course of time, they said.
