Jogi suspended because of letter given to Governor: Cong
New Delhi, Dec 07: In the midst of the bribery charge against former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, Congress today said he was suspended from the party because of the letter he gave to the state Governor declaring support to a breakaway BJP group government without `due authorisation` from its central leadership.

The Congress Working Committee meeting, presided by party president Sonia Gandhi, discussed the issue, Congress spokesman S Jaipal Reddy said, adding, "He (Jogi) was suspended because of the letter he gave to the governor without due authorisation from the central leadership."
