New Delhi, Sept 30: Lt General B S Thakur has been appointed commander-in-chief of the Andaman and Nicobar tri-service command. He is the first army officer to head the prestigious command.
An alumni of NDA and IMA, General Thakur was commissioned into the central India horse (armoured corps) on June 27, 1965, an official release said today.
