A new documentary looking at the life and career of the late Amy Winehouse has been made available on BBC`s Iplayer service.
London: A new documentary looking at the life and career of the late Amy Winehouse has been made available on BBC's Iplayer service.
Titled ‘Amy Winehouse In Her Own Words’, the documentary uses previously unseen footage and performances to tell the tragic story of the singer who died in 2011.
The doc features performances from a BBC One session the singer did in 2007, after her second album Back To Black made her an international name.
Also included is footage from her appearances on "Later With Jools Holland", her 2004 and 2008 Glastonbury performances and the 2004 Mercury Music Prize.
"We're honoured to pay tribute to Amy with a programme featuring exclusive unseen and rare footage from her performances at the BBC. Amy wrote smart, sad, soulful and original pop songs that became instant classics and inspired a generation," BBC Music editor James Stirling said.
The release of the BBC doc comes just days before Asif Kapadia's feature length film Amy hits cinema.
