Heavy rains lash Capital
New Delhi, July 11: Monsoon showers continued to lash the national capital and the nearby areas since last night throwing normal life out of gear. However, as the rain gods smiled over Delhiites, it brought its share of woes for the people.
New Delhi, July 11: Monsoon showers continued to lash the national capital and the nearby areas since last night throwing normal life out of gear. However, as the rain gods smiled over Delhiites, it brought its share of woes for the people.
Heavy rains led to traffic jams. Water logging could be seen in most areas, intersections and roads of Delhi. The city recorded over 12 cm of rainfall during the last 24 hrs, the highest in the season so far.
The Met office predicted that rain would continue to mark its presence till the weekend.
The night temperature here came down to 22.5 degree celsius, which was 4 degree below normal. Traffic jams were seen at major crossings mainly due to choked sewers.
