Srinagar, June 03: Jammu and Kashmir Finance Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig presented the budget for 2003-04 in the assembly today.
For the first time ever, the Jammu and Kashmir budget was presented in Kashmir instead of Jammu as the government preferred vote on account during the last session of the assembly in the winter capital.
Hitherto, budgets have been presented and passed in Jammu. The budget 2003-04 is the first budget of the coalition government led by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that took over on November 2, 2003. Bureau Report
