New Delhi, Nov 06: Samajwadi Party today released the first list of its candidates for assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Delhi. Buddhasen Patel, a former MP, who joined Samajwadi Party today, figures in the first list of 126 candidates for Madhya Pradesh.

Patel will contest from Churhat, where he will face the son of senior Congress leader Arjun Singh, party general secretary Amar Singh told reporters while releasing the list. The first list for Chhattisgarh contains the names of 40 candidates, 32 names for Rajasthan and 24 names for Delhi, he said.

Asked whether the party would release more lists of candidates, Singh said "it is a continuous process."

To a question whether his party had reached any kind of understanding in any of the states going to the polls on December 01, Singh replied in the negative but said his party was prepared to "give and take support" from any secular front.
"So far we have not joined any front and we are going it alone in the elections," he said.
