HC hearing on CBI petition against Amarmani
Lucknow, Nov 17: The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court fixed today for further hearing the CBI`s petition challenging a lower court order allowing jailed fomer Minister Amarmani Tripathi to attend the ongoing assembly session.

A single judge bench comprising Justice Y R Tripathi posted the matter for further hearing today after Amarmani's counsels sought time for filing the counter.
The CBI has sought immediate stay on the lower court's order and its subsequent quashing.
A CBI court had on Monday last allowed an application move by Amarmani, an accused in Madhumita murder case, seeking permission to attend the budget session of the assembly.
Amarmani was arrested by CBI on September 21 in the murder case and has been in judicial custody after he was subjected to lie detector test and interrogation at length.
