Barmer was the hottest place with 46 degree celsius in Rajasthan as intense heat wave conditions affected normal life during the last 24 hours, a MET report said on Sunday. High speed winds, raising dust storms, paralysed life in Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Phalodi, Bikaner and Churu districts where the maximum temperature hovered between 43-45 degree celsius, five degree celsius above normal.
The capital city wore a deserted look with mercury soaring to 42.5 degree celsius, four degree above normal.
The day temperature would further soar by the evening at all places as dry weather, with low humidity conditions, would prevail in the state, the report added. Bureau Report
