Mumbai: Katrina Kaif has all the reasons to feel blissful as she has been able to share screen space with one of the finest actresses Indian cinema has ever produced – Tabu – in Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’.

The pretty actress, who will be seen essaying the role of Tabu’s daughter in film, found in difficult to accept the latter as her onscreen mother.


Talking about her experience of working with Tabu and playing her daughter in the adaptation of Charles Dicken’s ‘Great Expectations’, Katrina said, “The hardest thing in this film was pretending that Tabu is my mother; she does not look like my mother from any angle, she is like a friend. I enjoyed the days we spent together in the film.”


“She is one of the warmest people and who is so down to earth. She is a phenomenal actress so, whenever you are in front of her, you should remember you should not get lost in her performance but, to contribute to it. We have been fortunate she was gracious enough to step in,” added Katrina.


 


The film set in the backdrop of Kashmir features Aditya Roy Kapoor as the male lead. ‘Fitoor’, which happens to be Abhishek’s ambitious project also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutt,  Rahul Bhatt and is slate to release on February 12.
