Toini Norman had a hole-in-one on the par-3 14th at the Pelican Waters Golf club on Australia's sunshine coast and fired off an email to former world no. 1 Greg Norman in Florida to tell him all about it, a news agency reported today.
Toini Norman said she was playing golf when she was seven months pregnant with her famous son and introduced him to the game when he was a young boy living in remote Mount Isa in the Australian outback.
Last year, she was club champion at Pelican Waters, which Norman designed and was opened in 2000 near Caloundra, about 80 km north of Queensland state capital Brisbane.
Norman, 48, is a two-time British Open champion who has scaled back his participation on the elite PGA tour in the United States in recent seasons.
Toini Norman wasn't immediately available for comment on her hole-in-one.
