Srinagar, July 10: In a surprise move, former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and his younger brother, Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal now find no place in the reconstituted central working committee of the National Conference.
Announcing the reconstitution of the highest decision making body of National Conference on Wednesday, its president Omar Abdullah brought in four new faces in the 36-member committee.

However, the name of Farooq Abdullah, who is patron of the party and Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, a former minister, did not find place in the working committee.

Former Revenue Minister Abdul Qayoom, former Tourism Minister Sakina Itoo, former Food and Supplies Minister Bashir Ahmad Nengroo have also been dropped from the committee. Other former ministers who did not find a place in the committee. Former speaker of the state assembly and veteran National Conference leader Abdul Ahad Vakil would be a special invitee to the meetings of the committee,a party spokesman said.

However, rest of the former ministers in the Farooq Abdullah led government and the party's MPs have been retained in the working committee.

The new faces included in the committee are Shia leader Aga Syed Roohullah, Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo,son of former veteran leader from Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Kitchloo, Rajinder Handoo, son of former Law Minister P L Handoo and Sardar Dharam Vir Singh Oberoi, the spokesman said. Bureau Report
