Srinagar, Aug 06: President of ruling Peoples Democratic Party Mehbooba Mufti has said the coalition Government was not only firm and determined to work for lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir but it was also committed to provide all basic facilities to the people living in rural and neglected areas of the state. During her day-long extensive tour of interiors of Beerwah and Khan Sahib blocks in Budgam district of central Kashmir yesterday, Mehbooba took stock of the problems confronting people. People of the areas generally demanded improvement and renovation of interior link roads, installation of power transformers and posting of additional teachers in the under staffed schools, besides setting up medical sub-centres. Responding to the demands, Mehbooba assured them that she would plead effectively for providing the basic facilities on priority basis.
