Shimla, Sept 06: The Himachal BJP Legislature Party has accused the state government of registering cases against political opponents, especially opposition MLAs whose ancesteral properties were being probed to book them. The legislature party which met here yesterday under the chairmanship of former Chief Minister P K Dhumal took serious notice of such actions and cautioned that ancestral properties of the over-zealous officers would also be probed when the time comes. The BJLP also expressed serious concern over the shortage of trucks for marketing of apple crop and said the growers who were expecting good returns due to a bumper yield were left in lurch and compelled to send their produce in gunny bags. It also expressed concern over the prevailing law and order conditions in the state and accused the government of shielding criminals against whom more than 75 cases had been registered. Bureau Report
