Shimla, Sept 06: The Himachal BJP Legislature Party
has accused the state government of registering cases against
political opponents, especially opposition MLAs whose
ancesteral properties were being probed to book them.
The legislature party which met here yesterday under the
chairmanship of former Chief Minister P K Dhumal took serious
notice of such actions and cautioned that ancestral properties
of the over-zealous officers would also be probed when the
time comes.
The BJLP also expressed serious concern over the shortage
of trucks for marketing of apple crop and said the growers who
were expecting good returns due to a bumper yield were left in
lurch and compelled to send their produce in gunny bags.
It also expressed concern over the prevailing law and
order conditions in the state and accused the government of
shielding criminals against whom more than 75 cases had
been registered.
