Chandigarh, Feb 18: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today asked Congress president Sonia Gandhi to break her "silence" on the alleged involvement of two Punjab ministers in a sex scandal. "Sonia should make it clear what kind of government she wants to give to the people of the country...What kind of people she wants to bring into politics," he told reporters during a transit halt at the airport here before proceeding for electioneering in Himachal Pradesh. Refuting that there was "political motive" behind the unraveling of the scandal in Gujarat, Modi said he believed in "justice". "I will not interfere in the investigations into the sex scandal. However, if the state police needs it can further probe into the matter", he added.

Describing as "undemocratic" the reported refusal of the two "tainted ministers" to join the investigations, he said "their non-cooperation in the investigation is a testimony to the fact that there is something wrong. Only one who is guilty does not cooperate in investigation", he added. Bureau Report
