Srinagar, June 10: Foiling attempt by pro-Pakistan Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen to revive its activities in Jammu and Kashmir, the BSF has arrested two top ultras of the militant outfit. The self-styled "finance chief" of Tum, Fhulam Nabi Wani alias Moulvi Farooq Anwar, a resident of Nowhatta in Srinagar, was arrested alongwith his close associate Nissar Ahmad Dar alias Irfan of Naidkadal from their hideout in Batmaloo area in central Srinagar yesterday, a BSF spokesman said.
During interrogation the duo revealed that they were entrusted with the job of reviving the militant outfit in the Valley by luring former militants with cash incentives by their PoK-based leaders.

Some explosives and a number of incriminating documents were recovered from the captured militants, the spokesman said.
The militants visited the houses of former militants of the outfit who had shunned the path of violence and tried to motivate them by offering cash, the spokesman said, adding their arrest dealt a severe blow to the plans of reviving the militant outfit.

Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen was one of the front ranking local militant outfit in the valley in early 90's but the killing and capture of its leaders and lower ranks almost wiped out the organisation.
However, during the past few months the outfit has started its activities once again and had also claimed responsibility for several attacks on security forces.
