UP Vidhan Sabha adjourned till September 8
Lucknow, Sep 02: The crucial state Vidhan Sabha session, which began here today, was adjourned till September 8 after paying condolence to its legislators, who died after the last session of the house.

As the house assembled, the speaker Keshari Nath Tripathi read out the names of the legislators who had died in the intervening period since last sitting of the house.
The Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav is likely to seek a vote of confidence on the floor of the Assembly on September 8 as directed by Governor Vishnukant Shastri. The house condoled the death of one sitting BSP MLA Ali Bahadur of Mahsi in Bahraich district and 14 former legislators including Mohammed Dabi, Pati Raj, Ram Lakhan Verma, Kumari Albel Umal, Abhimanyu Singh, Masud Hussain, Kunwar Ashraf Ali, Ram Singh, Dr Shiv Sagar Lal, B Das, Laloo Singh Chauhan, Parmeshwari Din Verma, Shiv Prasad Gupta and Ramji Singh.
Earlier, when the house assembled Jagdish Rai of BSP raised objection to some BSP legislators sitting as a separate group. Ruling out the objection, the speaker said the legislators had no designated seats. They can sit wherever they like, he said.
