Heavy cross-border shelling in Noushera sector of Rajouri
Jammu, July 13: Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged heavy shelling along Line of Control in Noushera sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.
Jammu, July 13: Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged heavy shelling along Line of Control in Noushera sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.
Pakistani troops targeted Jhanghar and Bhawani areas of
the sector and fired about 80 mortar bombs from across the
border during last night, they said.
Indian troops also retaliated and the exchange of shelling between two sides continued till early this morning, they said. There was no casualty or damage on the Indian side, they added. Pakistani troops resorted to firing from their posts of Saidawali, Anuta, Bagra Gali and New Ginder leading to retaliatory firing from this side, the sources said. However, there was no injury or loss of life on our side, they added.
Meanwhile, a civilian identified as Yashpaul Singh died in a land-mine explosion at village Chakabdal near the international border in Ramgarh sector yesterday, the sources said adding the deceased had accidentally stepped on the land mine planted in his field.
