Kuala Lumpur, Sept 21: Jugraj Singh may be recuperating in a Ludhiana hospital thousands of miles back home, but the Indian hockey team continues to be haunted by the player's spirit.
"We miss him all the more because he was such a live wire, he keeps egging us on and had a very positive influence on the team," said his teammate and friend Gagan Ajit Singh on the eve of Asia Cup Hockey beginning here today.
In a tribute to his bosom pal who suffered a horrific crash that has kept him out of action, Gagan has decided to wear a special headband throughtout the tourney.
"The head band is very special to me. It will remind me of Jugraj when I am on the field, and at the same time Jugraj will feel he is with the team," the forward said.

Gagan said both Jugraj and himself had received an offer to play in the Dutch League before his former met with the accident. "But now I have opted out of it because I don't want to go there alone leaving Jugraj behind," he said emotionally.
